Goldie Lookin Chain bring Stairway To Newport to Nottingham
Lock up your shell suits and hide the vape pens – Goldie Lookin Chain are heading to Nottingham, bringing their Stairway To Newport 2026 tour to The Nest on 8 October.
Following sold-out UK tours in 2024 and 2025, Newport’s finest purveyors of comedy, chaos and tracksuit-clad hip-hop are back on the road with a new single, Puppuccino, and another suitably ridiculous live show. The track sees GLC turning their attention to dogs, dog cafés and everything in between, with its video featuring some four-legged talent from Newport City Dogs Home.
Joining them in Nottingham is a suitably eclectic supporting cast. JJ Bull arrives following the viral success of The Very Unofficial Scotland World Cup Song, mixing indie-pop, football and improvised songs created live on stage. The Welsh John MOuse brings synth-driven new wave, surreal storytelling and material produced by Sweet Baboo, while Cardiff six-piece Breichiau Hir add a considerably heavier edge with their collision of post-rock, emo, punk and shoegaze.
It all lands at The Nest, Nottingham, on 8 October, as part of a UK run taking GLC from Southend to Glasgow before the tour eventually reaches its gloriously Welsh conclusion.
Expect beats, belly laughs, gold chains and probably more tracksuits than Nottingham has witnessed in one room for quite some time.
