Haute & Freddy
Haute & Freddy is the gloriously unhinged electro-pop project from song writing heavyweights Michelle Buzz and Lance Shipp. Before donning wigs, jester hats, and storming clubs with their runaway-carnival aesthetic, the duo were already shaping global pop, penning cuts for Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Kylie Minogue, Bebe Rexha, Calvin Harris, and Rauw Alejandro.
Now they’ve stepped into the spotlight themselves, pulling 18th-century decadence through an ’80s synth filter and spitting it back out as something entirely their own. Their live shows are part underground disco, part theatre troupe: mime clowns twist balloon crowns, fans arrive in hand-made jester hats, and the Royal Court of H&F grows with every gig.
Since their debut single Scantily Clad, Haute & Freddy have been building a devoted cult following. Their shimmering follow-up Shy Girl only deepened the obsession, and their latest release, Freaks (19th September), is a three-and-a-half-minute shot of electro-synth euphoria that makes you want to raid the dressing-up box, lace up your dancing shoes, and lose yourself on a neon-lit floor.
With their debut album looming, Haute & Freddy are picking up speed, and this is a carnival you’ll want to run away with.
The duo have loads of gigs lined up, mostly in the states but hopefully they’ll book that trip to pay us a visit soon.
