Formed at Leeds College of Music, Green Gardens are an exploratory indie rock four-piece from Leeds, blending emotive hooks, lo-fi guitars, and a palpable sense of intimacy into sprawling sonic textures. Comprising Jacob Cracknell (bass/vocals), Chris Aitchison (guitar/vocals), Jacob Beaman (guitar), and Bob Henderson (drums), the band channels the warmth of friendship and the ache of experience into every track.

Their latest EP Nobody Wants To Die, released on 13th August, is a glimmering, emotionally raw precursor to the upcoming album Thistlesifting, out Friday 5th September via Tiny Library Records – the Far Caspian-led imprint partnered with Dance to the Radio and The Orchard.

Thistlesifting marks a progression in the band’s sound — from the stripped-down sincerity of 2023’s This is Not Your Fault to something more layered, tactile, and emotionally immersive. Written in quiet solitude and then expanded as a collective, the album is a lush, lo-fi odyssey through grief, growth, and fleeting joys. Think Sparklehorse introspection meets the distorted beauty of The Microphones and Broken Social Scene. - Tiny Library Records

With praise from tastemakers like CLASH and a tour stretching across the UK and into Europe this autumn — including dates in Leeds, Sheffield, Glasgow, Manchester, and even Rotterdam — Green Gardens are a band walking the line between fragility and force. A band who feel, then make you feel too. Definitely one for your radar.
