Marie Franc

Rising from Manchester’s vibrant indie scene, Marie Franc are a dream-folk five-piece crafting intimate, cinematic soundscapes with soul-tinged warmth. Fronted by singer-songwriter Rachel Maria Francesca (the inspiration behind the band name) and completed by Travis and Kez on guitars, Dan on drums, and Ben on bass, their sound blends sultry guitar textures, hypnotic bass lines, and emotionally rich vocals into something both expansive and deeply personal.

Their music has been described as “buttery warm but sharp as ice”, an apt summary for their ability to merge delicate, fire-flickering arrangements with the smoky charm of a late-night French jazz lounge. Drawing on influences from Alvvays, Lianne La Havas, Aldous Harding, and ‘90s shoegaze, Marie Franc balance vulnerability with a confident sense of style.

They’ve already sold out headline shows, played the main stage at Moovin Festival alongside Ezra Collective, and won early support from BBC Introducing Manchester. Their latest single, "Leave The Light On", is the second from their debut EP Saturday Boy and was recently reviewed on NottsRocks. In our words, it’s “intimate, cinematic, and impossible not to feel.” With more live dates lined up and their debut EP on the horizon, Marie Franc are fast becoming a name to watch.
